In a surprise move, Milestone AV Technologies, owners of the merged Chief and Sanus brands, drop their IPO plans and sell out to Duchossois Group for an un-disclosed amount of cash.

Duchossois Group already includes AMX (automation), Autopatch (A/V switching), and Matrix (multiroom audio), Chamberlain (garage door openers and gate access), Heath/Zenith (electrical devices such as chimes), Durasol (retractable awnings), and Churchill Downs (horse racing). OK, so we don’t know why horse racing but the others make sense.

Milestone will operate as an independent business unit of the Duchossois Group; Scott Gill continues as CEO.
