AudioForum

The new AudioForum conference, held the day before ISE 2014, is your opportunity to keep up-to-date on professional audio’s integrated digital transport protocols and systems.

AudioForum will be an opportunity for professionals and companies of different backgrounds to “sit around the same table” of the culture of systems integration, in a productive exchange which will lead to an ever improved dialogue between the worlds of systems integration and the more specific world of professional audio.

Speakers will include…Aidan Williams, CTO of Audinate, which he co-founded in 2006 as a spin-out from National ICT Australia (NICTA). At NICTA, he was a principal research engineer and the driving force behind the Digital Audio Networking project that developed the core technology behind Dante – the media networking solution commercialised by Audinate. Prior to joining NICTA, Aidan was at Motorola Labs in Sydney. He is an inventor on more than twelve patents in the area of IP networking.

…Rick Kreifeldt, the Chairman/President of AVnu Alliance since it was founded in 2009. With 20 years of experience in R&D at Harman, he is currently responsible for company-wide advanced research. Previously, he was head of Automotive Research and led the HARMAN Professional HiQnet networking initiative. Before that, Rick was Director of Engineering for the dbx Professional brand.

…Mark Yonge who has held the post of AES Standards Manager since 2001, shepherding audio standards through an open consensus due process. In that time, the operations of the AES Standards Committee have seen many advancements.

Following the success of their first edition of AudioForum, held on 21st and 22nd November 2013 alongside the SIEC Convention in Milan, organizer Connessioni takes their audio project to an international scale with the support of ISE and sponsored by the SIEC association – System Integration Experience Community.
