ISE 2014 sees Core Brands releasing European versions of the Panamax/Furman BlueBOLT power management portfolio, the first being the 220V version of the F1500-UPS battery backup product.

The company promises it will bring the best of the US lineup to the European market over the coming years. Its range covers the whole custom install gamut, from residential to commercial systems.

The F1500-UPS E carries a 1500V battery backup to allow orderly shutdown in case of power outage. It features Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) for maintenance-free AC surge suppression, Linear Filtering Shutdown (LiFT) for audio/video clarity and Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) for protection against sustained overvoltage conditions.

A built-in RS-232 interface provides custom programming and control, while an optional TCP/IP card allows access to cloud-based BlueBOLT remote management for functions such as component rebooting, equipment on/off and power quality monitoring.

The next launch following the F1500-UPS E is a Pro series power sequencer.

But why did it take so long for Panamax/Furman to take on the European market? The company tells us the creation of European versions is not a simple case of switching to 220V-compliant components. It also adds the European power management market has been fairly slow, at least compared to the US.
