CEDIA Region 1 opens entries for the 2014 CEDIA Awards, now with a simplified online entry process making it even easier to take part in what the association describes as the Oscars of the custom installation industry.
The Awards are open for all Region 1 Home Technology Professional (HTP) members -- meaning UK and Europe, CIS, MEA, India and Pakistan.
New for 2014 are a redesigned website, two new categories, and the aforementioned simplified online entry process. Members now can submit as many project as they want in multiple categories, and can draft, edit and review entries before submission.
Submissions require a variety of documentation, including the client brief, solution details, customer verdict and supporting information such as high resolution images, kit lists and schematics.
The CEDIA Awards 2014 categories are as follows:
- Best Media Room under £15000
- Best Media Room over £15000
- Best Home Cinema under £40000
- Best Home Cinema £40000 – £100000
- Best Home Cinema over £100000
- Best Integrated Home under £100000
- Best Integrated Home £100000 – £250000
- Best Integrated Home over £250000
- Best Lighting Scheme under £25000 (new)
- Best Lighting Scheme over £25000 (new)
- Best Yacht Installation
- Best Multiple Scheme for a Property Developer
- Best Dressed Rack
- Best Energy Management Solution
- Best Showroom
- Best Training
In addition the association celebrates individual contributions to the industry with a Special Recognition Award, and members can select a Best Trade Supplier via online vote.
Award entries close on 7 April 2014. On 6 March CEDIA holds a "CEDIA Region 1 Awards Everything You Need to Know" with tips on how to use the online process, as well as winning.
The Awards ceremony takes place on 11 July at an as yet undisclosed location.
