Procella Adds to Speaker Sizes

Procella announces initial shipments of its two latest audio offerings, the compact P5 loudspeaker and the P12 subwoofer, will kick off from September 2014.

Procella P5The P5 features a high-output 2-way design with a 5.25-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression driver mounted on a Procella-designed constant directivity waveguide.

According to the company the constant directivity waveguide produces a circular radiation pattern of 80 degrees above 2.2kHz, providing high levels of performance whether the speaker is mounted in either vertical or horizontal orientation.

A Procella Identical Voice crossover provides flat response and ultra-low group delay, and assures timbre match for seamless envelopment and 360-degree imaging when the P5 is used as a surround speaker with the Procella P8, P610, P815 and P850 main speakers.

Meanwhile the P12 is the most compact Procella active subwoofer yet. It carries a 12-inch long-throw professional audio subwoofer driver with a 65mm voice coil, and an integrated class-D power amplifier delivering up to 350W for maximum output of 116dB at 50Hz, with extension to below 25Hz.

It features single balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, as well as an unbalanced RCA connector for linking multiple subwoofers. Switchable room settings optimize response for room boundary conditions, and a polarity switch improves integration with room and main speakers.

The cabinet is 59cm wide, 44cm high and 20cm deep (without grille), with all inputs and controls available on a recessed back panel.

Both speakers will be available in either black or white painted finishes.
