Sonos launches what it says is its most powerful wireless accessory yet-- the Boost, a device similar to the Bridge providing up to 50% greater wireless range for any Sonos system.

It carries 3 internal antennas which Sonos says help neutralise interference from other consumer electronics that might cause dropouts, ensuring the music plays on even in the most challenging wifi conditions.

It also provides a means to wirelessly connect the Sonos Playbar with Sub and rear speakers.

The company points out cables remain the best way to install a multiroom audio system, but in case of customers demanding wireless connectivity the Boost should ensure speakers remain in sync.
