The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) looks to fill the newly created position of CEO, following the stepping down of current executive director and COO Don Gilpin.
Gilpin has led CEDIA for 18 years, and will remain on board until a CEO is found. Taking over the COO position is long-term CEDIA veteran Tabatha O'Connor.
According to the association, the continuing growth and international expansion of its market marks a need for a better defined executive structure-- one demanding a CEO to "ensure a robust value proposition and relevancy to current and prospective members globally."
The CEO reports to the board of directors and takes care of tasks such as strategic planning and governance, forging of partnerships, membership development, communications and advocacy, and staff leadership.
Taking care of the CEO search is executive recruiter Korn/Ferry International.
