  • PDF

Lutron announces the Caséta Wireless Smart Bridge features Apple HomeKit support, allowing customers to control Caséta wireless dimmers through voice controls using Siri on their iPhone or iPad.

Lutron CasetaUsers can use Siri to control lights in specific rooms or areas, as well as all lights in the home. One can even ask the voice assistant to check whether lights in a specific place in house are on and, if so, turn them off. The Caséta Wireless system also pairs with Lutron's Serena remote-control shades and "select" thermostats.

The HomeKit support also allows other developers to write apps controlling Lutron lights and shades, and in turn integrate them with connected devices from other vendors.

“As the global leader in lighting control, Lutron is proud to be among the first to have its HomeKit-enabled product available to homeowners,” sthe company says. “Support for HomeKit expands the convenience of Caséta Wireless, making it easier than ever for people to control their lights.”

The HomeKit-enabled Smart Bridge is available as part of the Caséta Wireless Lighting Starter Kit, a package complete with 2 wireless dimmers, 2 remotes and 2 pedestals.
