The Z-Wave Alliance announces the first winner of the Z-Wave Labs Program-- preventative security and safety startup BeON Home, the makers of intelligent LED bulbs able to "learn" and replay lighting patterns.
The prize is a 12-month alliance membership and an IoT-ready 500 Series Z-Wave Developer Kit for the building of either controller or embedded Z-Wave products. This will allow BeON to add a Z-Wave module to its product offering, thus offering a more seamless experience for the owners of traditional security and whole home automation systems.
“We were excited from the moment we saw the BeON Z-Wave Labs entry and learned about their innovative solution and plans to integrate Z-Wave into that solution,” the Z-Wave Alliance says. “The company’s unique preventative safety and security system will join our industry leading member companies in the rapidly growing IoT market.”
The alliance will select Z-Wave Labs Program winners from IoT-related industries (including residential, commercial, automotive, healthcare, energy, security and aging-in-place) each month.
