The opening to IFA 2015 be themed around the future of TV, as LG Display CEO Sang-Beom Han will deliver the opening keynote on 4 September, titled "how display technologies will change our lives."

The keynote sees the CEO ask what comes next after current 4K and curved displays, and look into future technologies such as paper-thin, transparent and flexible technologies. LG Display has experience in such matters, having developed prototypes such as a "wallpaper" OLED TV prototype weighing all of 1.9kg one can stick to walls via magnetic mat.

Dr. Han has 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and display technologies. As head of the LG TV unit since 2010 he is credited with the launch of FPR (Film Type Patterned Retarder) 3D technology and the commercialising of OLED displays.
