The KNX (UK) Association, supporters of a standard for building control, will be hosting the largest event in its history.

KNX Day brings together folks from more than 40 countries on 20th October at the prestigious British Library, in London (home to more than 170 million research items—and a KNX installation).

The event will feature talks from industry professionals and KNX board members. During the first session, Chris Glasow founder of Andromeda Telematics Ltd, will discuss the early days of KNX and operating one of the world’s leading KNX system integration companies. Following this, Darren Burford, Vice President at Schneider Electric will present on how KNX is currently used within home and building automation.

Chairman of CEDIA Kris Hogg will present on the importance of KNX to the industry and how users can make the most of the technology while Simon Buddle, Education Director at CEDIA, will be discussing the future-ready ability of KNX. Heinx Rutschi, representing Theben, will talk about KNX product history.

KNX combine products from over 400 manufacturers, which can then be easily accessed from one, simple network. The KNX standard can be applied to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, monitoring, alarming, water control and energy management, with KNX products all “speaking the same language.”

Manufacturers will showcase products from 25 years ago alongside their latest equipment.
