DarbeeVision starts shipping the DVP-5000S-- a standalone image enhancer promising to improve the levels of depth, clarity and realism of digital images from a device small and light enough to place on the side of a TV.
Around the size of a smartphone, the DVP-5000S is a plug-and-play device compatible with any HDMI source and display, be it SD, HD, 3D, 4K/UHD or beyond. It features Darbee Visual Presence (DVP) technology the company says works in realtime to embed 3D depth cues at the pixel level, all with virtually no lag. The result provides more detail to images without touching colour, contrast, sharpening or resolution.
Image enhancement comes in 3 flavours-- "Hi-Def" for high-quality content such as Blu-ray discs, "Gaming" for computer-generated images and "Full Pop" for low-resolution or low-quality sources. Control comes through IR sensor and included remote.
The DVP-500S is available now in European markets.
