SnapAV Snaps Up Autonomic

SnapAV continues with the acquisitions as it buys Autonomic, the company best known for the Mirage streaming players, as well as multiroom amplifiers, mobile device apps and in-wall keypads.

SnapAV is the owner of leading brands in multiple product categories. These include loudspeakers (Episode), networking (Araknis), video surveillance (Luma), A/V distribution and cables (Binary), power management (WattBox), equipment racks and TV mounts (Strong), structured wiring (Wirepath) and outdoor TVs (SunBrite). Last month saw it buy Florida-based surveillance equipment manufacturer Visualint.

With Autonomic it gets a product range complete with integration with leading control systems, such as Savant, Crestron, Control4 and URC, and compatibility with multiple music services. Autonomic products also support high-resolution 24-bit/192kHz audio and DTS Play-Fi.
