The JBL celebration of its 70th anniversary involves the launch of a loudspeaker-- the 4312SE, a high-performance studio monitor loudspeaker pair featuring a 12-inch 3-way design.

A successor to the legendary 4310/4311 monitor family, the 4312SE promises crisp bass and dynamic highs, even at the highest levels. The loudspeakers are built in matched mirror-image pairs and can be positioned in a variety of ways, including horizontally or vertically, with the tweeters on the inside or the outside of the listening position, and can be either shelf- or stand-mounted.

Inside are a 12-inch 1200FE-8 Aqua-Plas-coated pure pulp cone woofer, a 5-inch 05H-1 polymer-coated pure pulp cone midrange and a 1-inch 054ALMg-1 aluminium/magnesium alloy tweeter with waveguide. On the outside are front-panel mid- and high-frequency trim controls, bass reflex enclosure with front-firing port, binding-post speaker terminals and a black wood grain finish with removable black cloth grille. Each loudspeaker also has a special 70th anniversary badge.

The 4312SE loudspeakers ship in limited quantities from April 2016.
