Control4 announces HDBaseT certification for the 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch, allowing installers to integrate the HDMI Matrix Switch with other HDBaseT compatible products.

"With Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP), setup is a snap,” the company says. “Once the HDMI Matrix is connected to the home network, Control4 dealers can use Composer Pro software to automatically install the applicable driver, eliminating the need to search for and install the correct and up-to-date driver for the switch or any other certified driver.”

The HDMI Matrix Switch features 8 HDMI ports and 8 HDBaseT outputs, as well as 2 local HDMI outputs, 8 LAN pass-through ports, 8 stereo audio outputs, 8 RS-232 ports, 8 bi-directional IR control ports and an ethernet port.

Leaf allows easier access to more HDMI devices with the LTXP64, a 6-source to 4-zone matrix able to switch 6 unique HDMI sources to 4 independent zones.

It supports signals at up to 1080p/60 as well as 3D and Dolby Digital and DTS-HD audio formats within a 1RU device. The company also promises easy setup with EZ-Calibration and ZoneLock technology.

CYP launches a 4K solution range-- namely the the SY-4KS HDMI scaler, AU-11CD-4K HDMI audio de-embed, AU-11SA-4K 7.1 HDMI audio de-embed (7.1), AU-11CA-4K HDMI audio embed and the RE-11HS-4K HDMI to HDMI equaliser.

The SY-4KS either upscales HD (1080p@24) signals to 4K UHD resolutions or downscales UHD 4K signals to HD for integration with any AV system. It allows users to select highest commonly supported resolutions between source and display and incorporates 2 HDMI outputs with one bypass (input follows output) and the other scaled.

Installers can set the scaled output to 3 modes-- upscale to 4K, downscale from 4K or bypass.

Pakedge Device & Software launches the S8Wpde, an 8-port gigabit switch one with power via either PoE or AC to allow seamless use in both new and old buildings.

The switch features plug-and-play to run without need for any software installations and is compliant with all network protocols. It takes just a portion of 1U on a wiring rack, and includes a flange-mount bracket for easier installation than traditional cradle-type brackets.

Compact metal housing allows maximum durability and easy placement on flat surfaces, media panels or wall mounts, with no fan required.

Leaf uses ISE 2014 to launch the LTPTP-F, an easy to install HDBaseT extender able to push uncompressed HDMI and 4K 24fps content for up to 100m using regular Cat6 cable.

In addition it also carries IR and RS-232 control signals with no need for a power source at the receiver end.

The Atlona ISE 2014 stand houses an interesting selection of the company's signal distribution products, including the AT-HD-M2C audio converter and the PRO MXM modular matrix switchers.

Designed to simplify audio installations, the AT-HD-M2C is converts Dolby and DTS multichannel audio into 2-channel audio, allowing compatibility with legacy devices (such as audio receivers) unable to accept multichannel sources. Built-in EDID provides plug-and-play simplicity, while a variety of output ports (L/R analog, coax, TOSLINK) enable pass-through without HDMI support while retaining audio and video distribution to HDMI displays.
