Atlona Ships HDBaseT Extenders

Atlona ships its HDMI extenders featuring HDBaseT technology-- allowing signal transmission to a distance of up to 100m over a single category cable.

HDBaseT extendersAccording to the company both AT-HDTX-RSNET transmitter and AT-HDRX-RSNET receiver provide bidirectional control with ethernet, RS-232 and IR remote control for compatibility with 3rd party control systems.

Using Power over Category cable (PoCc), AV, IR, RS-232 and power are sent over a single category cable, without need for a receiver power supply.

The RSNET extender family features locking HDMI ports, USB ports for in-field firmware updates and captive screw connectors for IR, RS-232 and RJ45 ethernet connectors. The devices support UltraHD (4Kx2K) resolutions and CEC pass-through, as well as 3D and all embedded audio signals including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Extron Intros EDID Emulator for HDMI

Extron launches the EDID 101H-- an EDID Emulator for HDMI signal sources featuring the company's own EDID Minder communications management technology.

EDID 101HIt communicates pre-stored EDID to the source according to user-selected resolution and refresh rate, and also captures and stores EDID information when connected to a display.

A unique HDP (Hot Plug Detect) port provides control for remote cameras and other signal source demanding a periodic HDP trigger.

The EDID 101H comes in a compact quarter-rack width metal enclosure and ships with an energy-efficient universal power supply.

Extron Expands HDMI Distribution Amplifier Lineup

Extron introduces two larger HDMI distribution amplifiers as part of the HDMI DA Series product line-- the HDMI DA4 (with x4 outputs) and the HDMI DA6 (with x6 outputs).

HDMI DABoth are HDCP compliant and support HDMI specification features such as data rates up to 6.75 Gbps, 12-bit Deep Colour, 3D, Lip Sync and HID lossless audio formats, with HDTV 1080p/60 and PC 1920 x 1200 video.

For ease of integration and reliable operation the HDMI DA Series features a pair of Extron technologies-- EDID Minder (maintains continuous EDID communication between connected devices) and Key Minder (continuously authenticates HDMI encryption between all devices).

Further easing integration are automatic input cable equalisation, automatic colour bit depth management, selectable output muting and monitoring and troubleshooting indicators.

Extron announces the XTP DTP 24 twisted pair cable-- a high performance cabling product certified to deliver up to 475MHz of bandwidth for up to 100m.

XTP DTP 24“XTP DTP 24 Cable is engineered specifically for digital video applications to provide integrators with absolute confidence in signal integrity throughout the largest distribution systems,” Extron says.

It features an SF/UTP shielded foil/unshielded twisted pair design and features 24 AWG solid copper conductors within overall braids and foil shields.

XTP DTP 24 cable is available in plenum and non-plenum versions in 305m spools with self dispensing packaging. Extron also offers a matching line of shielded RJ-45 plugs, punch down jacks and couplers in packages of 10.

Atlona LinkCast Makes European Debut

Atlona shows off the now EU-certified LinkCast Wireless HD System at ISE 2013-- the wire-free system for customers to get content from up to x4 HD sources on TVs, projectors or AV receivers.

Atliona LinkcastIt supports video resolutions of up to 1080p, as well as full 3DTV video, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 digital audio, with high-speed HDMI, HDCP-compliant connections.

Also launched at the show are Control4 drivers for the Pro3HD, Pro2HD and H2H HDMI matrix switcher series, ensuring integration and compatability in residential and commercial AV systems using the Control4 platform.

“Working alongside Atlona during ISE 2013, it was apparent that the company shares a vision that we at Control4 have long held,” Control4 president of sales Jim Arnold says. “In order to drive home automation adoption, everything in the home must work together, resulting in ultimate customer satisfaction.”

Atlona also offers drivers to integrate with solutions from Vantage, neets, RTI, URC, Elan, Clare Controls and On Controls.

Smart-e Intros FuSionHD

Smart-e launches the FuSionHD range at ISE 2013-- a product series combining the best features from analogue AV and HD digital technologies, chiefly HDMI, CAT5e-8, DVI, fibre and USB KVM.

Fusion HDThe company says the product line is ideal for home cinema and small office applications, as well as digital signage and multi-room corporate communications.

“Digital is great for many applications however there is a case, and numerous client requests, for solutions that require digital and analogue AV combined in one product for shared resource purposes," Smart-e MD Jon Lane says.

Kit making an ISE 2013 debut includes a multi-format wall plate range combining HDMI, analogue and digital inputs via CAT6, an HDMI splitter range distributing audio and video from a single source to up to 8x displays and an upgrade on the SmartDigital MCT-16 matrix.

Also on show is the company's digital-only AV product range and traditional analogue equipment.
