TwelveSouth announces a Pro version of the AirFly wireless headphone adapter-- a means customers to use wireless headphones or earbuds in places with only a headphone jack featuring audio in capability as well as out.

Audio in functionality allows users to connect a wireless device with an audio system featuring auxiliary audio in, such as a car stereo or legacy hifi equipment, but no Bluetooth streaming connection. Audio out capability remains as standard, of course, allowing one to pair wireless headphones or earbuds with gym treadmills, in-flight entertainment systems and the like.

The latest loudspeaker from the Meridian Audiio architectural range is the DSP750, an in-wall digital active loudspeaker claiming a host of exclusive Meridian technologies, such as the CLASS-M DSP engine.

According to the company, the CLASS-M DSP engine provides thermal and dynamic bass protection, allowing for detailed and accurate sound. A "double-baffle" aluminium enclosure design minimises unwanted resonance and coloration, while separate mid-range driver enclosures eliminate interaction with the bass drivers.

Episode announces the Expandable Soundbar-- a means to match premium audio with TV width with a custom solution, allowing dealers to use a single product in various installs, rather than keeping multiple inexact fixed-length soundbars on hand.

The Expandable Soundbar features a three-piece adjustable design to match TVs 50-70-inch in size. The outside channels expand to match TV length and extend the soundstage to the edge of the TV for room-filling sound. It also features a three-piece metal grille and low-profile aluminium cabinet for a smooth install.

KEF reveals a complete redesign of the LSX speaker-- the Soundwave, a speaker by Sir Terence Conran the company describes as a compact, powerful and versatile wireless speaker with a standout design.

The Soundwave name comes as the look of the speaker is inspired by the visualisation of sound waves, something subtly designed into the exclusive fabric wrapping the shell of the LSX. The partnership with Terence Contran continues the KEF tradition of design collaborations, having previously worked with visionary designer Ross Lovegrove on the Muon project and British designer Michael Young on the original LSX.
