A new contender enters the European AV and custom installation markets-- Sun-Light Solutions (SLS), distributor of advanced residential lighting and heating solutions.

SLS is exclusive amBX technologies dealer, a lighting system combining coloured LED lights, translucent stretch ceiling fabric and amBIENT XC DMX lighting controllers.

According to SLS amBX lighting is ideal for all kinds of scenarios, be it home theatres and media rooms or kitchens and bathrooms.

Other lighting options from SLS include DMX LED downlights, available in RGB, RGBW and White, RGB LED flex and different forms of White flex, and a range of wireless and battery-powered DMX fixtures with custom housings.

SLS also offers Welltherm Heating infrared panels-- a heating system that warms objects, not air. The panels are designed to integrate into a variety of environments, being wall- and ceiling-mountable and customisable with artwork designs.

Cineversus name Genesis Technologies as their exclusive European partner to serve dealers in the UK, France, Benelux, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.

Genesis will also support the Cineversum brand with its own sales, technical and training back-up service.

Rimage Corporation launches Blu Lock anti-rip copy protection technology for Blu-ray Discs. Blu Lock is the first anti-rip copy protection technology that integrates directly into the Rimage Blu-ray Disc publishing solution, allowing a broad range of businesses to deliver digital content securely to their customers.

Blu Lock’s anti-rip copy protection provides on-the-fly protection of commercial and pre-release Blu-ray video content. “Currently the distribution of Blu-ray video content is at risk due to the lack of a high-definition anti-rip copy protection technology. KEF marks its 50th anniversary and forms "landmark agreement" with AWE-- naming AWE as exclusive UK partner and taking the 2 companies' previous partnership "to another level."

As a result AWE will handle the KEF speaker ranges in the residential CI channel, from the Ci in-wall, in-ceiling speakers and active sub-woofers to the loudspeaker portfolio.

The KEF Ci series represents a number of firsts for the company, including the use of advanced materials, computer analysis for design and testing and KEF's own Uni-Q "point source" driver array. Recent additions to the series include the 5.25", 6.5" and 8" circle, square and rectangle models.
