Also safeguarding the cameras is Trend Micro IoT security. Each is designed for versatile applications, with different numbers of sensors, vertical fields of view (FOV) and IR dstances, allowing users to increase operational efficiency through a single camera. CEDIA Expo 2019 sees Brilliant and Schlage announce a collaboration bringing more simplicity to the smart home and home technology industry by combining products from the two companies.

Specifically, the Schlage Encode smart wifi deadbolt integrates with Brilliant Smart Home Control, giving customers complete access control. The integration allows users to lock and unlock doors directly from any wall-mounted Brilliant Control or using voice commands through integration with Amazon Alexa. Homeowners can also control locks as party of home automation scenes.

Vivotek features the CC9381-HV at CEDIA Expo 2019-- a 180-degree H.265 panoramic anti-ligature fisheye network camera complete with Trend Micro IoT cybersecurity.

According to the company, CC9381-HV records 2560 x 1920 resolution footage at up to 30fps, with built-in 180-degree IR illuminators (up to 15m) providing complete video security during both day and night. Construction is IP66-rated for weather-proofing, and the housing is also IK10-rated against vandalism. Also included are a ±25° tilt lens and a built-in microphone.

Panasonic announces an addition to the HomeHawk home monitoring solution line-- the HomeHawk FLOOR (KX-HNC850), a security camera hiddden inside a fully functional floor lamp.

Available in black satin or gray fabric finishes, the FLOOR lamp features a minimalistic design blending with any existing décor. The simple structure of the lamp also eliminates the need for drilling, cutting or mounting on wall, since customers simply need to plug it any electrical outlet.

Inside the lamp is a camera with a 140-degree wide-angle lens complete with microphone and speaker allowing for two-way communications. It records video in 1080p, and starts pre-recording two seconds before motion is actually detected. Geofencing provides smart control with customisable activity zones, while the addition of 8 AAA batteries allows for backup power.

DIY home security vendor abode releases an update on Google Assistant integration enabling full support for the voice assistant, allowing customers to fully control abode alarms through Google Assistant-enabled devices.

Previously abode Google Assistant integration was limited to controlling lighting, switches and plugs. The updated integration, on the other hand, provides voice control of all aspects of the abode system, including lighting, locks, streaming cameras, door and window sensors and garage door openers, as well as arming and disarming the system.

Customers can disarm the abode system using the commands "Ok Google, arm abode to away mode" and "Ok Google, disarm abode." Disarming the system via voice also requires a 4-6 digit verification code. When home, customers can ask Google Assistant for the status of the abode system, and issue a voice command to change alarm status.
