Metra 24Gbps HDMI Cable Showcase at ISE

Metra Home Theatre Group (MHTG) plans to showcase over 50 HDMI cable products with 24Gbps bandwidth at ISE 2019, manufactured under the Ethereal Home Theater, Helios and The Install Bay brands and available in a wide range of lengths and options.

Velox premium ultra-high speed HDMI cables reach up to 100m for active fibre (with support for ARC but not eARC), 30m for active copper and 10m for passive copper. All support the full 4K spec for 4:4:4, HDR and more. Ethereal MHX cables reach up to 7.5m with unassisted 24Gbps support and up to 17m for use with HDM-GA1 or HDM-GA2 gigabit accelerators.

Chord Company Adds XLPE to More Cables

The Chord Company adds XLPE technology to two more loudspeaker cables-- the Odyssey and Epic both receive an upgrade from the original PTFE (what most people know as Teflon) to XLPE (aka Cross-Linked Polyetylene).

Extron announces the HD Pro Plenum Series-- active, hybrid optical-copper cables for high-speed HDMI digital video and audio signal transmission, with support for data rates reaching up to 18Gbps.

Extron Plenum cableThe cables also support video resolutions up to 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 with HDR, EDID, HDCP and CEC, as well as HDMI audio formats. The active cables are unidirectional, and draw only nominal power from the connected HDMI source device. Diameter is just 4mm, and offers a narrow bend radios for easy installation and uncompromised performance. A Flexson Desk Stand for the Sonos One

Flexson S1-DSSonos accessory maker Flexson announces a desk stand for the Sonos One and Play:1 speakers-- the S1-DS, a means to position the speaker at an angle, as well as minimise vibrations and simply add a bit more of flair to the whole setup.

The stand has the same footprint as the speaker, measuring 110 x 115 x 46mm. Available in the same shades of black and white as the Sonos offerings, it is suitable for use on coffee tables, desks and, of course, AV furniture. Construction is in metal with a chrome inlay.
