NAD Adds Bluetooth to VISO 1

The NAD VISO 1 wireless music system gets an update in the shape of Bluetooth aptX connectivity-- thus bringing about the NAD VISO 1 BT, an audio system promising "true" hifi performance and "incredible" sound quality.

VISO 1It carries proprietary Direct Digital amplifier technology (the same inside the M2 amplifier) to provide what NAD describes as analogue-free signal processing with less distortion and enhanced digital dynamics.

Meanwhile Bluetooth aptX requires minimal setup and no wifi connections for streaming from any enabled devices.

Audio-wise it carries 3 full-range dual-magnetic drivers from NAD sister company PSB speakers, with airflow optimised for "a more controlled soundstage with refined detail and tight bass" following acoustic lab testing at the Canada National Research Council.

The VISO 1 design remains unchanged barring the removal of the docking station from the distinctive metal ring. Instead it features 3 soft-touch buttons for on-body control.

The VISO 1 BT is available now in black or white high gloss finishes. NAD also provides a custom bracket accessory for wall-mounting duties.
