Autonomic announces the Mirage MMS-2A, a music player the company claims delivers reference quality high-resolution audio through 3 independent streams to a multi-room system with up to 96 zones.
It features a fanless, passive cooling design with storage handled by a 128GB SSD (expandable via USB or NAS) and a new generation of the Autonomic cloud-based media server. Content playback support is put to 24-bit/96kHz.
The player also connects to a number of popular streaming services, namely Pandora, SiriusXM, Spotify, Slacker, Rhapsody and TuneIn, and carries two Airplay receivers (1 per stream).
Outputs include USB, coax digital and analog, as well as HDMI and VGA for OSD.
The MMS-2A is available now in a rack-mountable 1 RU chassis complete with rack ears and four screw-on feet.
