Bluetooth speakers come in a variety of weird and wonderful shapes and sizes, but few are like the OM/One-- a spherical speaker makers OM Audio describe as "the world's first levitating Bluetooth speaker."
Essentially the OM/One consists of a 9cm diameter orb. It carries a "finely tuned" 75mm audio driver, and levitates when in contact with a companion magnetic base.
Levitation height totals around 3cm, and one can carry the orb speaker around for portable spherical audio.
The speaker connects to mobile devices and PCs via Bluetooth 4.0, with a wireless range of up to 10m and a battery life of 15 hours. Users can pair two OM/One spheres for stereo sound, with a single base able to make both levitate.
OM Audio is currently taking reorders for the OM/One, with shipments set to kick off from December 2014.
