Parasound Ships ZoneMaster 1250

Parasound says the ZoneMaster 1250 is a 12-channel amplifier designed for custom installers building multi-room audio and modular home theatre systems integrating with Dolby Atmos.

ZoneMaster 1250Specced to be unconditionally stable into 2 Ohm loads, it handles total output power in excess of 1200W RMS with all channels driven. Each channel is rated at 50W into 8 Ohms, or 90W into 4 Ohms, and one can bridge channel pairs to provide 6 x 160W or 6 x 200W with 8 or 4 ohm speakers. It also has the potential to bi-amp speakers for up to 400W per speaker.

Such high power and low impedance stability allows for A and B speaker outputs for each channel, providing easy connection for up to 24 speakers. In other words, the ZoneMaster 1250 can drive 3 stereo systems with 200W per channel, 6 stereo zones or 24 in-wall or ceiling speakers for every room in the house.

Each channel features independent line inputs and level controls, with two Bus inputs with looping outputs plus speaker-level inputs one can route to any zones. Also included are independent 12V audio triggers with looping 12V trigger outputs for each zone and a global 12V trigger.

The chassis is 2U and rack-mountable (mounting hardware included), and standby power consumption totals just 0.5W to meet Energy Star and EU specifications.
