D'Agostino Intros Cinema Standard, MLife at CES

D'Agostino launches the Cinema Standard, a multichannel amp designed for home theaters and stereo systems, and the MLife, an integrated amp adding wireless to the D'Agostino Momentum amplifier design, at CES 2015.

Dagostino ampAvailable in either 2- or 3-channel versions, the Cinema Standard pushes 250W into 8 ohms, 500W into 4 ohms and 100W into 2 ohms per channel. Both versions also feature built-in switchable high-pass and low-pass filters preset to 80Hz and -18dB/octave, which audiophile customers can use to filter bass out of main speakers or filter midrange and high frequencies from a subwoofer.

All comes inside a 6U chassis complete with front and rear rack-mounting brackets.

Meanwhile the MLife carries the same amplifier circuitry from the Momentum integrated amp, if with the tone controls replaced by a 5-inch LCD display and the addition of wireless connectivity. This includes companion mobile device apps, built-in vTuner internet radio capability, access to Tidal music streaming and connection to smartphones, tablets and PCs via Apple AirPlay and aptX Bluetooth 4.0.

“In the high-end audio industry, we often say if you want something that’s convenient and easy to use, get a mainstream product,” the company says. "With MLife we’re delivering all the convenience and user-friendliness of those products, with sound quality that is unmatched by anything else on the market.”
