Denon launches the AVR-X1100W, AVR-X2100W and AVR-X3100W-- a trio of AV receivers equipped with wifi, Bluetooth aptX and Apple Airplay connectivity as well as the latest Denon surround sound and HDMI specification.

Denon AVRThe AVR-X1100W is the more basic model, being a 7.2-channel with built-in wifi and USB port allowing connection to Spotify, iDevices (via Airplay), users' music libraries and DLNA-compatible devices.

It also includes 5 HDMI inputs (2 HDMI 2.0 4K ready), 1 HDMI output and a power rating at 80W (8 ohm 20-20kHz 0.08%) per channel.

The AVR-X2100W builds on the AVR-X1100W with a power amplifier pushing 95W per channel (8 ohm 20-20kHz 0.085), 8 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs and a video processor allowing the unit to upscale standard and HD video up to 4K.

In a Denon first it also features ISFcc certification allowing installers to properly calibrate picture controls for both day and night viewing.

The final model is the AVR-3100W, adding technologies including Dolby TrueHD audio, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS Neo:X multichannel decoding, Dolby Pro Logic IIz and the Audyssey DSP audio algorithm Gold suite.

All the above mentioned AVRs handle high resolution audio files (including DSD and AIFF), feature an improved graphical UI with Guided Setup and, interestingly, offer an Eco mode claiming power consumption reductions of up to 50%.

The AVRs launch on July 2014, with an improved mobile device control launch to follow on October.
