Atlona Scalers, Switchers at ISE 2014

The Atlona ISE 2014 stand houses an interesting selection of the company's signal distribution products, including the AT-HD-M2C audio converter and the PRO MXM modular matrix switchers.

Atlona converterDesigned to simplify audio installations, the AT-HD-M2C is converts Dolby and DTS multichannel audio into 2-channel audio, allowing compatibility with legacy devices (such as audio receivers) unable to accept multichannel sources. Built-in EDID provides plug-and-play simplicity, while a variety of output ports (L/R analog, coax, TOSLINK) enable pass-through without HDMI support while retaining audio and video distribution to HDMI displays.

“This seamless integration between devices enables sources such as Blu-ray players, game consoles and sSTBs to distribute the same content easily within multizone environments, ensuring that signals are received and properly processed in applications such as multichannel home theaters and 2-channel bedrooms," the company says.

Atlona ISE 2014Also seen at the show are the PRO MXM matrix switchers-- a pair of 4K-compatible modular matrix switchers in either 8x8 or 16x16 configurations. The switchers are custom-configurable with input/output cards for any application or system requirements, including support for legacy signals such as DVI, VGA, composite, component and S-video, as well as as balanced audio embedding.

Additional expansion cards offer UHD and DisplayPort support. IR and RS-232 connectivity allow simplified device and 3rd party system control, and ethernet connections provide TCP/IP control.

Other Atlona offerings available at ISE 2014 include the recently launched AT-HD-CLSO-612 multiformat switcher and the HDVS HDMI and VGA/Audio transmitter and receiver family.
