Extron announces the XTP II CP 4i HD DMA 4K PLUS, an XTP input board providing four HDMI inputs with multi-channel audio downmixing and stereo audio connectivity.
It is HDCP 2.2-compliant, and accommodates data rates up to 18Gbps for support of video resultions up to 4K60 with 4:4:4 colour sampling. Multichannel audio signals are maintained for HDMI switching and downmixed to two-channel PCM audio for independent routing within system. Customers can also embed stereo audio into the XTP signal stream for extension along the video paths.
The XTP II CP 4i HD DMA 4K PLUS input board can be used with all XTP II CrossPoint matrixes, as well as original XTP CrossPoint models, with incoming signals being switched into an XTP output board for local or remote signal routing. Such compatibility makes the input board an option for both new and existing installations to support 4K video and audio switching and distribution.
Extron says the XTP II is the only AV technology platform with support for uncompressed 4K video together with the additional bandwidth required to accommodate future video resolutions and formats.
