Crestron control reaches the wrists as the company reveals an Apple Watch app for customers wanting to access common commands and home scenes, as well as check the status of home devices from the wearable device.
The app allows one to check home device status and the settings of lights, shades and security systems through a customisable user interface. It also features instant access to 10 custom controls complete with 2-way communications.
Setup should be simple enough, as it uses the current SIMPL programming language and Smart Graphics UI technology.
“We’re excited to bring home automation to wearable technology,” Crestron says. “Our app delivers a new level of convenience so customers can monitor their home systems at a glance or control their home technology effortlessly using presets. We’ve made it even easier to always stay connected to your home.”
Crestron gives no launch date for the Apple Watch app other than "soon."
