Savant announces the Savant App, an iOS and Android app for customers wanting smartphone control for lighting, climate, entertainment and security systems.
One app capability is Savant Scenes-- a means to easily create, capture and schedule "scenes" incorporating multiple systems simultaneously. For instance, one can capture a moment with the perfect song and low lights, and relive it any time with a single touch. Users can also personalise settings for specific rooms and settings, such as scheduling the house to warm up before the family wakes up, streaming different songs to different rooms, or setting lights to turn off when one is away.
Meanwhile the cloud-based Savant Plus service allows remote access to Savant systems. It also provides personalised real-time alerts via email or push notification when something is amiss, be it an open door or the house being too hot.
In addition Savant plans to update its lineup of wired and wifi controllers to give installers flexibility and let customers integrate existing home features (such as garage doors, fireplaces, whirlpools and moore) into Savant Home.
The new product line is available from November 2015.
