PowerView Motorisation System to Get HomeKit

Hunter Douglas announces the next-generation PowerView Motorisation system-- a means to control the company's motorised window shades with support for Amazon and Google services, as well as (following an update) Apple HomeKit.

Powerview motorisationThe PowerView Motirisation Hub allows users to control, time and set window shades to raise, lower and tilt according to an automatic shcedule. The aforementioned smart assistsnts provide voice control, while HomeKit support allows the incorporation of shade settings into scenes as part of a full-home automation setup.

Users also get the PowerView Pebble Controller-- a handheld remote for the PowerView Motorisation system. It comes in new colours (Ecru, Oyster and Mist) matching any interior. Meanwhile the PowerView Hub features an updated design similar to the Pebble Control, and features built-in wifi support, faster processing and includes a PowerView Repeater for improved home coverage.

The final component of the PowerView Motorisation system is the companion smartphone app, now updated with a new UI complete with customisable dashboard.

Hunter Douglas still has to announce when the PowerView Motorisation system receives HomeKit compatibility, but it should be added by end 2017.
