Crestron Intros CP4-R Control System

Crestron says the CP4-R, the first product in the 4-Series, is the ultimate "central brain" of the Crestron Home operating system, featuring x4 the speed of the previous CP3-R and double the RAM.

Crestron CP4-RIt runs on Pyng OS 2, and is built to support Crestron Home OS 3 once it arrives on Q2 2019.

“The CP4-R gives us a powerful, future-proof platform to support continued enhancements to the Crestron Home operating system. It’s exciting times ahead for Crestron residential systems integrators and their clients!” the company adds.

OS 3 (formerly Pyng OS 2) promises to unleash the full potential of Crestron Home. It provides a simple, clean UI complete with "spectacular" page designs, dynamic room control and icons, support for multiple homes, favourites, custom access, room image customisation and more. Installers can set up and deploy complete smart homes at any scale, with no programming required, and the "best user interface."

The CP4-R is shipping now.
