Customers demanding home control via HDTVs might be interested in the Logitech Harmony for Google TV-- since the latest version allows one to do exactly that in conjunction with the Harmony devices.
The app features a grid-based UI and provides quick control of connected devices such as smart lights, blinds and thermostats, all without need to interrupt current viewing. Such functionality requires a Harmony hub-based remote installed on the same network, such as the Elite or the Hub.
Logitech says the app is customised for Sony Android TVs (users can even access Harmony Activities through the Discover button on the Sony remote), but it is compatible with other devices running on Google TV.
The updated app is available now on the Google Play app store.
