B&O TV Gets Smart

Bang & Olufsen launches a Smart TV with the BeoVision 11-- an internet-capable upgrade on the BeoVision 10 complete with a variety of social networking apps.

BeoVision 11The BeoVision 11 connects to the internet via either wifi (2.4 or 5GHz) or ethernet, while control comes through remote, iPad or Android tablets (and BeoRemote app).

It also supports the pan-European HbbTV (hybrid broadband TV) standard.

DLNA connectivity allows wireless media streaming from smartphones, while further connections include x2 USB ports, x3 control outlets (for control of up to x6 connected devices) and x6 HDMI ports.

Driving the 200Hz LED-based LCD display is "an all-new video engine" with adaptive contrast and dedicated picture modes for film and gaming.
