Panasonic Expands 2019 OLED TV Range

Panasonic follows on the CES 2019 reveal of the flagship GZ2000 OLED TV by adding three models to the OLED series-- the GZ1500, GZ1000 and GZ950, all featuring the powerful HCX PRO intelligent processor.

Panasonic tvsAll the OLED TVs are UHD Premium certified, support the HDR10+ and Dolby Vision dynamic metadata formats and share fine tuning by Hollywood colourist Stefan Sonnenfield. On the audio side the TVs feature built-in upward-firing speakers for immersive surround sound, as well as Dolby Atmos support. The GZ1500 has an own Blade Speaker built in the base.

On the LCD side Panasonic offers three 4K TVs-- the GX920, GX800 and GX700. The flagship model is the 75-inch GX920, and is also powered by the HCX Pro processor and offers a faster 100Hz refresh rate. The GX800 comes in 40-, 50-, 58- and 65-inch, while the entry-level GX700 (40-, 50-, 58-, 65-inch) has a 4K Studio Colour Engine with support for regular HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. The set, with the exception of the GX700, also support Dolby Atmos.

All OLED and LCD TVs mentioned here can also handle HLG Photo, an image format bringing HDR to still photography, and work with popular voice assistants to integrate with smart home setups. An updated My Home Screen 4.0 includes a redesigned UI allowing for further customisation, such the addition of shortcuts for live TV, connected devices, frequently watched channels and apps such as Netflix and YouTube to the home screen.

Panasonic is still to announce when the above mentioned TVs will hit the market.
