LG Adds to Minibeam Projectors

LG launches a pair of additions to the Minibeam portable projector lineup-- the Minibeam Pro (PF1500) and the Minibeam TV (PW800), both featuring lightweight form factors, fast setup and wireless connectivity.

LG MinibeamThe Minibeam Pro is designed as a portable home theatre solution. It projects 120-inch images at HD resolution (1920x1080) with 1400 ANSI lumens  brightness, and features 4 cornerstone keystone buttons for easy elimination of distortion should the projector not be perfectly aligned with the screen.

An optical zoom allows for further image adjustment, while Bluetooth handles connection to sounders, portable speakers and wireless headphones for audio duties.

Meanwhile the Minibeam TV acts as an on-the-go TV. It projects at WXGA resolution (1280x800) and, in an LG first, carries a TV tuner.

“As the world’s top manufacturer of LED projectors, we will continue to deliver innovative ideas for those who enjoy home entertainment but aren’t looking to convert their entire living room into a screening room,” the company says.

The Minibeam Pro and TV should hit European markets from April 2015, following launch in the US and S. Korea.
