Optoma Intros Ultra-Short Throw HZ40UST

Optoma announces a laser ultra-short throw home cinema projector-- the HZ40UST, a projector able to beam a 100-inch image from just 30cm distance, making it ideal for installation in rooms with limited space.

Optoma HZ40USTThe HZ40UST projects 1920 x 1080 resolution images with 400 lumens brightness. It is easy to set up by simply placing it close to the screen or wall, and can project imagery without shadows or cables running across the room. Optoma claims lamp life reaches up to 20000 hours, while low latency projection make it suitable for games as well as regular media. 3D video support is also included.

Connectivity comes through x2 HDMI and x2 VGA inputs, together with a composite AV port. A powered USB port allows connection of streaming dongles such as the Chromecast, while ethernet, RS-232 and 12V trigger connections allow pairing with home automation systems. The projector has a built-in 10W speaker for audio, but customers can also hook it with a separate audio system via 3.5mm out.
