Screen Innovations announces the Solo Pro-- a range of highly customisable motorised screens a single person can carry and install in 5 minutes-- is available with an ambient light rejecting (ALR) Short Throw screen material.
The company says the combination of Solo Pro with the ALR Short Throw material overcomes some of the obstacles traditionally associated with two-piece projection. Lithium-rechargeable and low-voltage options mean an electrician is no longer required, enabling two-piece projection nearly anywhere.
Short Throw uses a microscopic lenticular optical technology (think window blinds), and is best suited for ultra-short throw projection applications with the projector located directly below the screen at throw ratios as close as 0.1 times the image width. The technology reproduces up to 8K resolution while rejecting up to 90% of ambient light, at least according to SI.
