Epson Presents LS500 4K Laser Projection TV

Epson launches the LS500 Laser Projection TV, a combination of ultra short throw projector and ambient light rejecting screen available in either 100- or 120-inch screen sizes for a complete entertainment solution.

Epson Laser TVThe LS500 is carries Epson 4K PRO-UHD 3LCD technology, and is capable of displaying 4K HDR images with full 10-bit colour processing accepting 100% of the RGB colour signal for every frame, allowing display of the Rec. 709 colour space. Advanced black density control individually pulses the laser light emitted by the Epson Dynamic Laser Array diodes to suppress stray light within the signal, producing a contrast ratio of 2500000:1.

Real-time 12-bit analog-to-digital video processing provides smooth tonal transitions and helps eliminate banding, blocking and other compression artifacts from the final visual performance. Connectivity comes through HDMI 2.0 with ARC support, making the projector compatible with all colour formats, depths and spaces while supporting 4K HDR content at 60Hz.

The projector runs on Android TV, and comes with a remote featuring voice search through Google Assistant. The app allows for apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and HBO, among others, and users can even stream live TV through apps such as PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV.

The LS500 ships from Q1 2020 in two colour schemes, white or black. The aforementioned ALR screen is an optional extra.
