CEDIA executive director Don Gilpin will step down as leader of the industry association by end 2015. The CEDIA board announces the search for a replacement begins immediately.
Gilpin has been with CEDIA since 1998, and became executive director and COO in 2006.
“After considerable thought and discussions with CEDIA’s Executive Committee, I felt next year would be the right time to leave,” Gilpin says. “When I came to CEDIA, 17 years ago as the Director of CEDIA EXPO, I could not have imagined the incredible run I would have and the wonderful people I met over the years.”
Gilpin adds CEDIA has had 3 solid years of recovery following the recession, and expects the association to grow further during the next year. Under his tenure CEDIA Expo grew to be a top 100 tradeshow in America, while the association expanded into numbers countries outside the US.
