More InfoComm Education Sessions at ISE 2017

InfoComm International announces it will offer Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) study courses at ISE 2017, as well as over 80 professional development sessions, all available with a single pass.

ISE InfoCommStaff instructor Marcus Yarborough will lead the 2.5-day CTS Prep Course at ISE in a collaborative environment where students can explore the exam format and learn test-taking strategies. Following the course is an optional half-day CTS Study Session providing more preparation time in a group environment with the instructor. CTS testing takes place on 9-10 February, and InfoComm recommends early appointments, as seats are limited.

“The CTS designation has become the universal mark of professionalism within the AV industry,” the organisation says. “At InfoComm, it’s our role to elevate our vocation, and that is done by continuing to educate our workforce. We’re excited about the CTS program we’re bringing to ISE 2017. It will allow people to prepare in a group environment and take the exam alongside their peers.”

InfoComm will also offer Application Labs at ISE 2017-- 2-hour sessions of instructor-led discussion on topics such as the "dark arts" of hacking and network traffic analysis. Each lab introduces attendees to specific applications and allows hands-on experience, and each attendee will be partnered with a learning partner and provided with a laptop for in-class activity.

Other Application Lab topics include Analysing, Testing and Troubleshooting HDBaseT, Designing an AV/IT-Enabled Network and How to Leverage AES67 to Integrate Multiple Networked Audio Systems.

In addition, InfoComm half-day conferences will explore various topics in depth, a MasterClass Program covers in-depth topics with hands-on activity and FlashTracks offer AV professionals of all experience levels with free 20-minute presentations. All educational programs will be available through a single All-Access Pass, with no pre-registration for sessions required once the pass is purchased. However admittance is first-come, first-served.

“For ISE 2017, we wanted to make our educational program more accessible than ever,” InfoComm concludes. “We know that at a busy trade show like ISE, time is precious and plans can change. With the InfoComm All-Access Pass, attendees will be able to adopt a flexible approach to education and partake in as much of the program as they want, when they want.”
