Monitor Audio Acquires Roksan

RoksanLoudspeaker specialist Monitor Audio acquires fellow British high-end audio manufacturer Roksan, with a Facebook post announcing claiming the two companies' product portfolios share "incredible synergy."

"Like Monitor Audio, Roksan is a British company committed to superior audio performance with a reputation for design excellence, premium quality and exceptional value," the announcement reads. "We are excited about the possibilities this acquisition offers."

Founded in 1985 by Tufan Hashemi and Touraj Moghaddam London-based Roksan sells amplifiers, loudspeakers, turntables and streaming products. It was previously acquired in 1996 by Verity, owner of the Mission, Quad and Wharfedale brands, but Hashemi and Moghaddam bought Roksan back following the 1998 Verity demerger.

Roksan is to continue running as a separate brand, and all 17 Roksan staff now make part of Monitor Audio.
