Schlage announces the Sense Smart Deadbolt-- a Bluetooth-enabled door lock featuring built-in end-to-end encryption and Apple HomeKit compatibility, allowing users to open doors via iDevices and Siri voice control.
Users can manage and schedule up to 30 deadbolt access codes via companion app. The app handles code creation and deletion, lock status, activity viewing, setting updates and battery life checking, all without need for connection to a home automation system or monthly subscription charges.
Users can enter codes via touchscreen, iPhone or even Apple Watch. Installation is a one-person job through a patented "Snap & Stay" feature.
The Sense Smart Deadbolt ships from November 2015 in 2 styles, Camelot and Century, in finishes including matte black, satin nickel and bronze.
