D-Link announces the availability of the Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310)-- a first HomeKit-enabled product in the Omna portfolio allowing users to check on their homes from their iDevices.
First seen back at CES 2017, the Omna 180 Cam HD carries a 1080p camera with 180-degree field of view, microphone and speaker with 2-way audio, infrared night vision and motion detection sensors in a cylindrical form factor. It stores video clips directly to microSDCX card, with no further subscription required.
HomeKit support provides iPhone or iPad control via iOS 10 Home app, as well as Lock screen notifications (complete with snapshot) whenever the camera detects motion. It can also trigger Scenes with other HomeKit-enabled products.
The Omna 180 Cam HD should be available in Apple Stores across the world by end February 2016.
