Centrica Hive announces the Hub 360-- the "most advanced Hub yet" from the company designed to connect Hive devices while bringing sound detection to the home.
The Hub 360 offers 360-degree sound detection, allowing it to alert customers of particular sounds, such as a dog barking, smoke or carbon monoxide alarm going off, and windows or doors breaking, via notification in the Hive app. Users can check any potential sounds of interest recorded by the system through a 7-day log and audio clip history, and one can also mute the microphone in-app if required.
Hive Action integration allows the hub to connect different Hive devices in the home. Connectivity comes via wifi, with no need to plug it into the broadband router, and ZigBee support is included.
The Hub 360 comes in either black and brushed copper or white and champagne gold, and incorporates an LED light ring. It is available now in the UK and Ireland.
