Home security brand SimpliSafe makes a first step in the European market as it launches in the UK with a choice of pre-configured sensor, camera, keypad and siren bundles.
The move follows a $1 billion investment in the Boston-based security vendor from private equity Hellman & Friedman. The company offers 5 pre-configured bundles ranging from The Starter (includes a base station, keypad, entry sensor, motion sensor and SimpliCam security cam) to the high-est end offering, The Bamburgh (includes extra key fobs, sensors, 105dB siren and a panic button).
The system requires no contracts, but does feature a pair of optional subscription-based services. A Pro plan adds 24/7 monitoring, while a Pro Premium adds smartphone app controls, unlimited cloud-based video storage, text message alerts and even a police dispatch in case of intruder detection. Purchase of SimpliSafe hardware includes a free 3-month subscription.
The SimpliSafe security offerings are available now in the UK.
