Nortek Security & Control uses the ISC West 2019 show to launch the 2GIG eSeries-- a security and control ecosystem complete with the GC2e and GC3e panels and a line of encrypted panels.
“This is a major update to the line, designed to benefit both dealers and their homeowner customers,” the company says. “For homeowners, the new encrypted sensors enhance peace of mind, knowing their system is even more secure and resistant to hacks and breaches. The new panels deliver an upgraded user experience, including a contemporary new design that will look at home in any setting."
Compatible encrypted 2GIG sensors include the Standard Door/Window Sensor, Motion Sensor, Glass Break Sensor, Key Fob Sensor, and Recessed D/W Sensor, and NSC says more are to come in the near future. Meanwhile the two panels support traditional 2GIG sensors and other legacy 345 sensors for easy system upgrades.
The GC2e panel includes a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, while the GC3e features a 7-inch touchscreen. Both have 2-way audio and front-firing speakers for improved audio performance. The GC3d panel adds 2GIG Smart Areas, a feature enabling security partitioning for the easy setup of independently protect areas in homes. Smart Areas delivers greater personalisation and functionality for the end user, while simplifying installation.
The GC3e panel also includes onboard demo and promo videos to keep users in-the-know, and a screensaver mode with slideshows displaying favourite images when alerts and alarms are cleared.
