Crestron Presents Wireless Photosensor

Crestron announces the GLS-LDL-EX-BATT-- a battery-powered dual-loop photosensor the company says provides superior natural light sensing and indoor light control for daylight harvesting applications.

Crestron PhotosensorIt monitors natural daylight from windows, automatically adjusting shades and lighting to reduce energy usage while maintaining the comfort and convenience. To do so it uses 2 internal photocells (one for open-loop daylight sensing, the other for closed-loop ambient light sensing) to effectively cut costs in residential, commercial or retrofit applications.

Installers can mount the battery-powered sensor on drywall with an anchor and screw, drop ceilings or lighting fixtures with a magnetic strip, or a temporary location with adhesive tape. For ceiling mounts the photosensor snaps into a mounting plate users can rotate up to 40-degrees after installation for further fine tuning.

Communicates with Crestron control systems take place via 2.4GHz infiNET EX wireless network technology.

The company adds the GLS-LDL-EX-BATT runs for up to 10 years on 2 lithium-ion AAA batteries. Being a "sleepy" device it will not communicate with other infiNET EX devices unless it reaches a certain time or light threshold, ensuring maximum battery lifespan.
