Torus Power Launches TOT AVR Series

Torus Power announces the TOT AVR series of toroidal isolation power transformers, with models available for use in both Continental Europe (TOT AVR CE) and the UK (TOT AVR UK).

TOT AVRThe AVR series builds on the TOT toroidal isolation transformer range with the addition of Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to a robust feature set including Piltron NBT noise-filtering technology and low source impedence enabling instantaneous current delivery for dynamic components.

According to the company voltage sags, power line surges and brownouts stress and shorten equipment life. AVR technology provides stable voltage to keep equipment running in the optimal +/- 10V range. To do so it monitors incoming voltage to detect high- and low-voltage conditions, before triggering compensating circuitry to ensure voltage continues to operate at optimal levels.

The TOT AVR lineup meets both IEC and Neutrik standards and comes in either shelf or rack mount configurations. Most models can also be custom-specified to suit nearly every application.

The Torus Power TOT AVR series is available from October 2015.
