Vanco Offers Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet

AV distribution and accessory product specialist Vanco announces two lines of Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet, providing uncompressed feature support for the HDMI 2.1 specification.

Vanco cablesAs 4K enters the mainstream and 8K starts breaking through, the HDMI 2.1 specification becomes increasingly desirable for customers in both the residential and commercial segments of the market. As such, the HD8K and PROHD8K cable lines are backwards compatible, and should address the needs of 8K installations and beyond.

Both series offer uncompressed bandwidth of 48Gbps and support resolutions up to 10K, plus 8K@60Hz, 4:4:4 Chroma and 4K@120Hz. The cables also handle HDR and the wide-angle 21:9 aspect ratio. On the audio side, the cables feature eARC for simplified connectivity, and support HD formats such as DTS Master, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos.

The cables are EMI tested to ensure minimal interference with wireless signal, and feature Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT) support for gaming applications. A Quick Media Switching (QMS) feature eliminates the delay sometimes resulting in a black screen before content is displayed, and an Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) allows for an automatic setting for smooth, lag-free and uninterrupted viewing.

The HD8K and PROHD8K ship by end May 2019 in 1-, 3- and 6-foot lengths with both PVC and premium metal connectors.
